Ralph Culver studied creative writing and literature at Goddard College (Vermont), the New School (New York City), and the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College (North Carolina), and filmmaking at the University of Vermont. His poetry, fiction, and criticism have appeared in numerous publications, and he is a past grantee in poetry of the Vermont Arts Council and multiple nominee for the Pushcart Prize.
Culver’s first poetry collection, Both Distances, won the 2012 Anabiosis Press Chapbook Prize; his second, So Be It, was published in 2018. His newest full-length collection, A Passable Man (2021), is available from Ralph, contact info in film. His poems have been anthologized and reprinted in print and online, and he is a popular lecturer and reader of his work, having given many poetry readings in public spaces over the years.
