Green Mountain Writers presents Poet Ed DiMaio
At sixteen, DiMaio began keeping a journal as a cheap form of therapy. In time, entries started taking on a poetic character as he responded to his internal landscape and the world around him. Sound Scent & Light, a chapbook he self-published in 2002—his debut release— is held in several libraries in Canada and the USA.
Interviewed by Poetry Writer’s Magazine in the UK…
“Through Edward’s poetry, we can turn a spotlight upon the shadows in the crevices of our memories.” – Fr. Richard Rohr, O.F.M.
DiMaio spent three years leading poetry groups in the local Door County Jail. This past Earth Day, Edward was one of three poets to represent Write On, Door County in the Earth Day Everyday event at the Gould Theater. DiMaio is working on a second book, Germination Point, due out in the Fall of 2023.
