Time for a breath of fresh air…
The Burlington Writers Workshop Meetup Group, originally established by Peter Bielo, has been idle since 2022. After more than two years with no activity, he released it and I had the chance to assume the organizer role. I intend to incorporate and rebuild it as a branch of the Green Mountain Writers Group. There are 2,734 existing members.
I intend to use it to restore live meetings in Burlington, those in-person gatherings that we lost when COVID struck three years ago. I changed the Meetup name to Green Mountain Writers Group | LIVE to indicate that.
I created the Green Mountain Writers Group on Meetup in 2021 during the pandemic. We host more than 750 members from all across the USA and around the world meeting on Zoom.
Stephen Kastner writes essays, science fiction, memoir, poetry, and is currently working on a screenplay and novel about his Quaker ancestor Thomas Maule, who was arrested for defending the wise women accused of witchcraft in Salem in 1692. He leads the Green Mountain Writers Group in Vermont and creates digital media professionally as DesignWise Studios.
