Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Vermont Poetry Festival, on Saturday, April 27, 2025 in Underhill Center, Vermont.
Join us for poetry readings from 1 – 4 PM.
The 3rd Annual Vermont Poetry Festival will include a morning workshop where attendees are be encouraged to compose outdoors along the banks of Browns River (weather permitting) at Camp Sit ‘n Bull on Stevensville Road (right across from the historic schoolhouse). If the weather is uncooperative, we will gather inside the schoolhouse.
At 1 PM we’ll gather right across the road for a poetry reading event at the Historic District #5 Schoolhouse.
Poets may share their work for up to 20-minutes in individual reading sessions scheduled throughout the afternoon. The stage will be set for poetry readings at the Schoolhouse from 1 to 4 PM. If you would like to read, we encourage you to register in advance to be included in the roster. Scheduled poets will be followed by an open mic for anyone in the audience who wants to share their own poetry. We will also provide free vendor tables for any author who wants to sign and sell copies of their own books.
